Using Adwords for “instant web traffic”

Quick Simple Process:

Before we delve into this procedure let’s start with the basics and let me show you how it works through an example. Let’s pretend that we are selling home theater systems and you want to set up a text advertisement with Adwords. Here’s your steps:

Research

a. Find out what people are searching for online in relation to your product or service.
You can start by using https://Google’s Keyword Tool. So you would type in the phrase “home theater system” in the keyword tool search box. You’ll then get a list of key words and phrases for “home theater system.”

b. Which keywords do you pick? You want to choose keywords/phrases that get at least 100 searches per month. Pick at least five keywords that fit the criteria.

Competition:

Having the right keywords isn’t enough. You also want to know how many other people are using them for ads too. Ideally you want to compete with 20,000 or less people but if you can get it under 10,000 that would be even better. Here’s how you determine the numbers on Google:

a. Type the search term, “home theater system” into Google. Make sure you have the quotation marks in place or your results will not be accurate. Using this example, your Google search has determined that there are 63,500 pages on Google using this exact phrase. Now, if you altered the phrase to “home theater system review” you would only be competing with 17,000 other pages.

Does it all sound too complicated? Really it isn’t. And if you learn to do it right, Adwords is one of the quickest methods of getting your product or service noticed. For example, there are 1.4 billion Internet users and from this number, 77 percent of all search engine traffic – 2 billion searches daily – are on Google. If you learn to write and place your ad properly, there’s no reason why you can’t grab some of this traffic.
